Red&Blue Program Publishes First Report on Climate Risks in the Built Environment
The Red&Blue program consortium is pleased to announce the publication of its first report, “Too Risky to Build?”. This report summarizes the program’s first year of activities and publications, providing insights into its transdisciplinary objectives and ongoing research initiatives.
Addressing Climate Risks in the Dutch Delta
Real estate and infrastructure systems in the Netherlands are increasingly threatened by climate risks such as sea level rise, heat waves, and extreme rainfall. These risks create complex social, economic, and political challenges, particularly in vulnerable and densely populated cities like Amsterdam and Rotterdam. The Red&Blue program is a five-year research initiative that unites scientists and practitioners from over 50 key professional and academic organizations to develop innovative solutions for these pressing issues through integrated climate governance strategies for the built environment.
Six reports
“Too Risky to Build?” is the first in a series of six reports to be published over the next three and a half years. Each report will highlight specific research impacts from the program and its network of partners. This initial report serves as an introduction to the program and its objectives.
